TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Pavement Layer Repairs on the N1 Section 20 Northbound at km 30.0 – km 36.0
Gauteng, 26 June 2025– The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify road users that pavement layer repairs will be done on the N1 national road, section 20 at km 30.0 – km 36.0. The repairs will require shifting of traffic on the Northbound carriageway (from Beyers Naude Interchange to Malibongwe Interchange) from the two slow lanes to the two fast lanes. The traffic shift is currently planned to occur from 9am to 3pm on the 28th of June to 3 July 2025.
Alternative routes that can be taken include the Beyers Naude and M5 as shown on the next page.
SANRAL urges road users to:
- Plan their trips accordingly.
- Adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings, and
- Exercise patience and caution while navigating the affected area.
