CONTRACT SANRAL X.002-122-2019/1: Temporary Road Closures on the N14 Section 8, North West
Province

North West, 04 May 2026 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users of the temporary closure of the N14 national road between Kuruman and Vryburg. The closure is a result of severe flooding which started on Friday, 1 May. These closures have been implemented in the interest of road user safety.

“SANRAL advises road users to plan their travel accordingly, adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings. It is not only for your own safety but also for the safety of the construction personnel on site as well” said Mirriam Ramoba, SANRAL’s provincial head for the North West Province.

“Road users can make use of the N18, N12 and the R31 as alternative routes” added Ramoba.
