Gauteng 07 November 2025 – The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users of planned traffic disruptions on the N1 Section 21 Southbound due to the replacement of an overhead gantry sign.
This work forms part of SANRAL’s ongoing project to replace aging overhead signs along national routes. The initiative aims to improve road safety and visibility for all motorists
To safely carry out the replacement, the first 2 slow lanes on the southbound and on the northbound carriageway will be temporarily closed, with traffic diverted to the next offramp and also to the 2 fast lanes. Motorists are advised to expect delays during this time.
