ROUTE R380 SECTION 2 REOPENED TO TRAFFIC

Northern Cape, 08 May 2026 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) advises road users that both river bridges on Route R380 Section 2 at Kuruman (km 31) and Moshaweng (km 69) have been reopened to traffic and are now accessible to the public.

The bridges were previously closed due to flooding following recent heavy rainfall in the area.

Road users are, however, urged to continue exercising caution, obey all road signage, and remain alert as conditions in surrounding areas may still be affected by wet weather.

“SANRAL appreciates the patience and cooperation of road users during the temporary closure and urges motorists to continue driving with caution,” said Emile,
SANRAL’s provincial head for the Northern Cape Province.
