INTENT TO TOLL BEITBRIDGE PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS

Limpopo,5 September 2025 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), invites members of the media to attend the Intent to Toll Beitbridge Public Consultation sessions.

The Minister of Transport Ms Barbara Creecy recently approved the intent to toll Beitbridge (the border post and bridge between South Africa and Zimbabwe). SANRAL, as the implementing agency, will be facilitating comprehensive engagement sessions aimed at the general public, the Border Post stakeholders, other state-owned entities like the Border Management Authority (BMA), South African Revenue Services (SARS), Cross-Border Road and Traffic Agency (C-BRTA), and affected municipalities and provincial departments in Limpopo.

This is in line with Section 27 of the SANRAL Act, 7 of 1998 and will provide the public with an opportunity to comment and make inputs on the proposal.

SANRAL’s Provincial Head for Limpopo, Madoda Mthembu will be available to engage the media after each session.
