Pretoria, 24 2026 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) has noted an absurd and completely baseless post that is currently circulating on social media that 80% of its staff members are foreign nationals.

“SANRAL can confirm that it has a total staff component of 784 members. Of this component, seven are foreign nationals. This translates to 0.007% of the total staff component,” said SANRAL’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Lehlohonolo Memeza.

All seven staff members have more than nine years of service at SANRAL.
