Eastern Cape, 21 September 2026: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to advise all road users and surrounding communities that blasting activities will be carried out on the above-mentioned project at the Msikaba South Haul Road on the following dates.

• Wednesday the 23rd of September, between KM 30.920 and KM 31.160, between 15h00 and 16h00;
• Friday the 2nd of October between KM 31.040 and KM 31.060, between 15h00 and 16h00.

To ensure the safety of road users and to allow adequate time for blasting and clean-up operations, the Msikaba Haul Road road will be temporarily closed for approximately one hour.

Please note that there are no suitable alternative routes within this section.

“Motorists are asked to plan their trips accordingly and to exercise caution when using the road,” said Kayakazi Mafuta, SANRAL Eastern Cape’s Provincial Head.
